All PPS Security personnel undergo training in our company’s Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally Security Officers receive First Aid Training, Emergency Procedures Training and any other qualifications considered necessary to perform the required standard.
The purpose of a High Risk Security Team is to provide a ready response to situations beyond the capabilities of the normally equipped and trained security personnel.
Personnel are selected after specialised training in techniques of effective restraints. All PPS Security personnel are required to participate in such sessions once a week for their duration of employment.
On going training of personnel includes Defensive Tactics and testing of skills and levels of competency of Officers in the use of Defensive Tactics.
Consequently all personnel have the confidence to place themselves into a situation knowing that he/she has the support and back up of a well-trained team.
Personal Protective Services – Security Operations Unit is dedicated to the protection and security of all persons, property and in partnership with the community to providing quality security services, while affording dignity and respect to every individual.
PPS security provides a unique team to perform front door metal detector searches, perimeter checks, door security, front of house security, pit security & safety, crowd control & management ensuring everyone is having a good time & a safe time. Rockquest events see the PPS team providing security from New Plymouth to Gisborne & down to Nelson
PPS security trained & provided a unique team for the Palmerston North Safe City Host programme. From when it first began in 1997 we were involved up to 2000. We supported two other companies in this time providing over 70% of the staffing requirements assisting the police & helping apprehend over 348 offenders from a variety of offences; such as wilful damage, assault, disorder, theft, gang intimidation, breaking & entering, grievous bodily harm, and drink driving.
PPS security provided security for the Wellington Town Hall, Sir Michael Fowler Centre & Wellington Events Centre for four years. From private meetings, corporate events, product promotions to concerts, rock concerts & special events.
PPS security provided perimeter security over the two day event in 1994. We assisted with stage security & helped look after VIPs such as Joe Satriani & others.
